After finishing his studies here, he moved to Israel and has been an integral part of the English speaking educational scene there and abroad since the early 80’s. He has been involved in the Mayanot Yeshiva since its inception 20 years ago. He is a beloved teacher and mentor, known for his sense of humor and warm and engaging style of teaching. Rabbi Kaplan was instrumental in the development of the renowned methodology used in Mayanot to teach beginners the intricacies of Talmud study efficiently and effectively. Hundreds of students have learned “how to learn” in Mayanot in a relatively short period of time.
